Partho Banerjee is the President and Managing Director of Hughes Communications India Ltd.; Asia Pacific’s largest VSAT service provider.  It is also the leading satellite systems provider for Government projects and Defence services and the largest satellite based connectivity service provider in India with more than 100,000 sites in remote areas of the country.

Prior to joining HCIL, Mr. Partho Banerjee worked with Tata Telecom, handling Product Management, Business Development and Joint Ventures. He is also the former President of VSAT Service Association of India (VSAI).

He has also been associated with Telecommunication sector since 1982 and with Satellite communication services in India since 1994. Mr. Partho had also been extensively involved in policy areas for NTP 94 & NTP 99.

By profession, Mr. Banerjee is an Electronics Engineer from Delhi College of Engineering (class of `82) and Masters in Business Administration from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi (Class of `97).
